The Everything DiSC® Profiles by Inscape Publishing are great tools for understanding your own natural behavioral tendencies, as well as those of your clients, partners, spouses, children, friends etc.  There are no bad profiles, & no right or wrong answers. With the DiSC® Profile, different = different, ≠ not wrong.    Behavior just  ”is.”   When you’re aware of your own style, with all its strengths and potential limitations, you can use that information to better communicate personally and professionally, with your clients, friends, and family.    DiSC® is a wonderful tool for enhancing communications.

By assessing a person’s preferences through word associations, the DISC assessment assigns people into four categories of behavior.

DiSC® Chart

The DiSC® acronym stands for:

  • Dominance – relates to the need for power, control and assertiveness
  • influence – relates to the need for social interaction and communication
  • Steadiness – relates to the need for calmness, patience and thoughtfulness
  • Conscientiousness – relates to the need for analysis, precision and accuracy.

When these four dimensions are grouped on a circle, it shows the “D” and “i”  sharing the top half of the circle, and represents more extroverted aspects of  the personality.

The “S” and “C” at the bottom half of the circle represent the more introverted aspects.

“D” and “C”   then share the left side of the circle, which represents more tasks-focused style;  –  and  “i” and “S” share the right side of the circle, representing people orientation and social preferences.
